London Fog
The feeling I got
When I discovered
it was tea and milk.
Something about Portland
And a rainy day feeling.
In woods, the forest,
The smell of pine.
On cobblestone streets
Twist your ankle
The umbrella moves.
You say, “sorry, babe
I’ll cover you.”
Up ahead, a coffee bar
With a bookshop,
Muffins, and London fog
The feeling I never forgot.
