And then, a few hours later, when reality set, I realized: That's exactly what got me into this mess - my inability to separately my work from the rest of my life. And my need to attribute my worth based on the opinions of a few colleagues to whom I willingly give my humanity in exchange for positive vibes.

The doctor wrote me a note that day… (not something I thought I would ever need again after finishing school). The note said something along the lines of, “under no circumstance should she be allowed back to work in the next 7 days until she comes back the following Monday and is cleared after re-evaluation.”
