Thank you for giving me
the strength to hold myself together
with passion and grace-
taking risks,
pushing myself to be the best I can be,
in accepting the things I cannot change
while taking ownership
of the things that are within my control.

Thank you for giving me
the will to be authentically myself,
to pursue the things that bring me joy
while potentially improving other people’s days.

Thank you for gifting me
with the opportunities
to practice being exactly
who I envision myself to be-
somebody who is bold
and takes risks
to achieve a purpose-fueled mission
to make a difference.

And furthermore,
thank you for giving me
the courage and the mindfulness
to be saying these words with all my heart,
aligned with myself
and with a higher self.

I feel as though
a great awakening is happening inside me.
My potential is growing and widening.
Widening are the possibilities.

Lastly, I want to thank you
for helping me see the beauty in myself
so that I may believe it
wholeheartedly-
in every smile,
in every unsuspecting candid moment,
which I cannot myself see-
but to have the knowing
that there is beauty, nevertheless,
radiating always from me.

It’s a remarkable thing-
to know that I am so unique,
and I am loved
at the very least
by you
who is me.

Unwavering is that belief.
And so is my energy.

And so every moment,
I live to breathe,
I breathe to live-
with my whole heart 
no exceptions
nor apologies.
